Ebenezer is a place where we celebrate the love of God, made known to us in Christ Jesus. "Know that the Lord is God, it is he who made us and we are his, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture" says the Psalmist (Psalm 100:3). We welcome people from across the borough into the church each week. We work closely with the local Welsh-Medium Primary School (Ysgol Trelyn) and with a number of Assisted Living providers in the area. Many of the adults we meet have learning, physical or other sensory impairment. The gospel we preach tells us that everyone is unique, everyone is precious and each one is loved.
Note: As we reopened after the suspension of meetings due to the Covid pandemic, we have changed the times of some activities, including Bible Study and our Sunday Worship. The times are shown below, and will be kept under review. Click on the NEWS page to check updates
Sunday Worship
We meet for worship each Sunday at 10.45am. Everyone is welcome to join us. We usually celebrate the breaking of bread (communion) on the 1st Sunday morning each month.
" Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
(Hebrews 4:14-16)
Community Coffee Morning
Each Tuesday at 10am we meet for Coffee Morning. This is very much a community event. Pupils from Ysgol Trelyn join us alongside clients and carers from a variety of settings across the county, including many with a learning disability, physical or sensory impairment. Tea, coffee, cakes & fellowship are all free. It is a place where many different people come and realise that everyone belongs.
Bible Study
On Wednesday we meet at 2.30pm for prayer & Bible study. This is a more informal time when we can discuss issues, ask questions and explore what the Bible says about situations facing us in this generation and how the Word of God spaks into these situations.
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
(Hebrews 4:12)
Weddings and Funerals
We are able to conduct weddings and funerals at Ebenezer. The church is registered as a designated AP (Appointed Person) church with the Registrar at Ty Penallta. Please get in touch with us via the contact page if you need to know more.
Conferences
Since being refurbished, the church is periodically used as a conference venue by a variety of organisations. Modern facilities, accessibility and its location mean that Ebenezer is ideal. Please contact us if you want more details.
