"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"         ~ Matthew 28:19 ~

The Bible defines Church as the Body of Christ here on Earth - it is the people, not the building - and He (Christ) is the head

The church broadly has three functions:

> To give praise, glory, honour to God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit), as our Creator and our Redeemer

> To build one another up within the body through ministry - encouraging, teaching - by everyone within the body doing their part,  - to prepare the church for works of service

> To do those works of service and so make a difference to the world in which we live, demonstrating the Gospel in which we believe, and bringing others to know this Gospel for themselves, understanding the reality of salvation and a personal walk with God

With these three principles in mind, we have set out our vision for the church at Ebenezer:-

OUR VISION STATEMENT

We are a church declaring Jesus as Lord  & Saviour, practising Believers’ Baptism

Believing the Bible as the inspired Word of God

Seeking and responding to the Holy Spirit as individuals and as a church

Committed to meeting regularly for fellowship, communion, worship, prayer & teaching

Building one another up through body ministry

Working together with other churches

Supporting mission work, at home & abroad, through prayer, financial and practical giving

Demonstrating the gospel through disciplined lives, reflecting the life & example of Jesus

Seeking to promote opportunity, participation & inclusion in our community, including amongst the vulnerable and marginalised

Allowing the church building to be used for community-focused events
